The Controller will maintain a hands-on approach and will be responsible for reviewing all financial reports, construction accounting, and assisting with GL as needed.Why join us?

• Great work/life balance!Job DetailsResponsibilitiesAssists in preparing budgets and forecasts. Monitors and investigates budget variances.Participate in the development of and support of the company's strategic plans.Responsible for evaluating market rent trends for different floor plans. Evaluation includes compiling market data and analyzing comparisons.Performs A/R reviews.Monitor corporate cash positions on a daily basis. Compile relevant management financial reports that provide dashboard indicators of company cash flow status.Performs monthly review of financial statements for all entities and assists in preparation of corporate tax returnsMaintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.Maintains financial staff results by coaching, counseling.Supervise accounting staff during all bank reconciliations.Communicate financial metrics to senior management.Provides accounting support for properties including performing Yardi ledger corrections, transfers, and difficult move-outs or handling random ledger problems.Requirements:Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field8+ years experience in general and cost accounting4+ years of accounting leadership experienceReal Estate accounting experience/background HIGHLY preferredAdvanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with Financial Statement ConsolidationsExcellent communication (verbal and written) skills and organizational skills.
