Accountant responsibilities include but may not be limited to reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and assisting with the preparation of month-end close procedures. This position will maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems.Essential Duties:Perform financial analysis and reconciliation on G/L accountsAssist with audits as needed, including researching supporting documentationPost journal entriesMaintain fixed assets databaseMaintained Business Licenses and Sellers PermitsFile sales tax reportsFile Business Property Statements for both corporate and all retail store locationsCalculate rent percentages according to the terms of executed Lease AgreementsSupport month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processesCoordinate with business partners to ensure contact information is updated within all finance systemsMaintain accounting records and file in accordance with retention policy and proceduresBack-up support person for bi-weekly payroll processingSupport Assistant Controller with financial process improvementsAssisting with other special accounting projects from time to timeOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
