Job Description BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair is searching
for a Cost Analyst I to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a
hybrid position, the employee will work remote two days per week.

under the Finance Department and serve as the business partner to
the Ship Repair Program Management team. This analyst shall
allocate costs and prepares reports that maintain the company's
cost accounting system. Ensure that costs are allocated according
to established procedures. Investigate cost structures for new and
existing areas of the company. Price new services or products by
developing unit costs and projecting expenses. Prepares reports
that compare budgets with actual expenses. Perform ad-hoc work with
minimal direction. May recommend, design, or develop revisions to
the cost accounting system.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with program managers and cross-functional
partners.
- Participate and manage month-end financial reporting activities
across multiple programs.
- Forecast financial metrics, develop program baselines, and
manage Estimates-to-Complete (EACs).
- Manage and present financial data to internal and external
customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.
- Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
requirements both internally and externally as required.
- Carry out miscellaneous financial analysis or ad-hoc
assignments as required.
- Continually assess and improve financial reporting processes to
enhance efficiencies.
- Hybrid work arrangement (50% onsite / 50% offsite).Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting,
finance, or related degree with 0-2 years work or equivalent
experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Basic understanding of program finance and/or other finance
functional disciplines particularly in the management of large
government acquisition contracts.
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical
skills.
- Ability to communicate and present financial data to other
functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work
teams.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload
in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying
with policies and procedures.Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Aptitude in project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a
US Defense environment.
- Possesses finance experience in the aerospace/defense
industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Experience in Deltek, Cost Point, SAP, or other equivalent
accounting software.
- Experience with Hyperion and Hyperion Financial Management
(HFM).Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $53680 - $91300Please
note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
