• Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a Deck Engineer Analystwho will be a key support to the Government customer.
• Located in San Diego, CA.Job Description:
  • Operate and maintain Deck related equipment and support systems.
  • Responsible for directing the Deck support systems process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
  • Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
  • Develop, initiate, integrate and manage all actions associated with life cycle management of DK systems and equipment.Qualifications:
    • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 20 years of related experience.
    • Must have at least 3 at sea tours working in a Deck capacity.
    • Must have experience operating and maintaining DK-related equipment and support systems.
    • Must have Naval Shipboard Operational experience equivalent to Limited Duty Officers, Warrant Officers, Engineering Duty Officers or Senior Enlisted personnel.Desired Qualifications:
      • Preferred recent experience (within the last 5 years) operating or maintaining shipboard Deck equipment
      • Preferred Retired E7/E8.
      • Preferred experience as one of the following:
        • An Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV);
        • Inspector at the Afloat Training Group; or
        • TYCOM staff focusing on Pre-INSURV preparations.
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.Security Requirements:
          • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Travel Requirements:
            • Occasional travel -less than 10%
            • If a position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.               • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
              • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
              • Communicating with others to exchange information.
