Job Title: Bench Mechanic Location: South Bay Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 (Depending on Experience) / Job Class: Temp-to-Hire Summary Description: Work with general supervision, plans, lay outs, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products by performing the following duties. Read and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembly, and installing sheet metal products Removes burrs and sharp edges by use of various hand tools and materials such as files and edge breakers Operates burring equipment using countersink, grinding wheels, burring rolls, bench grinders, rotary files, drill presses, and jitterbug Adhere to company policies and procedures Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must demonstrate common sense and possess mechanical aptitude and abilities Experience/Training/Education/Certification To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training and certifications in order to be considered High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred Pass background and drug screen PandoLogic.
