Job Description:

Position Title: Restaurant Operations ManagerPosition Summary:--Work with stores to improve their operations.--This will include quarterly store visits, written communication, and follow up with online reviews and comment cards.--Update and maintain all training materials for hourly and management positions.--Manage new store openings.--This will include new store opening process management, new store opening training of employees and operational follow up after the store has opened.--Assist various stores that need extra guidance.--You will also be an active member of weekly staff meetings.--This job is based in San Clemente with occasional travel to our many store locations.Restaurant experience is required. Experience working with Franchisee's is preferred. Knowledge with CBS Northstar POS is a plus.------------1.--Visit each franchise quarterly to review their operation.--The visit includes a health report and operation review.--Each visit requires a write up of findings and advice on how to operate the in a way to maximize guest satisfaction, sales and profit.----2.--Update and maintain all training materials.--This includes FOH and BOH Management, FOH and BOH hourly training materials, and training schedules.----3.--Manage the new store opening process before grand opening.--This includes checking architectural drawings against our spec list, managing the NSO timeline/calendar, running weekly meetings on site once ground is broken, ensuring the contractors are putting in our spec materials and features, and assisting the store owner and corporate departments to stay on time and organized through the project.--You will document each item on the new store opening calendar as either completed or outstanding to help keep each person on task.----4.--New store opening training.--This includes training the entire front of the house hourly and management team.--You will follow a master timeline and training agendas to get each department up to speed for the grand opening.--Each employee needs to be proficient in their position, menu, service procedures and the POS system before the grand opening.--Managers need to be proficient in each position, menu, service procedures, POS, opening duties, closing duties and floor management.--The training program is between 2 and 3 weeks depending.----5.--Post new store opening follow up.--After the store has opened you will need to slowly remove yourself from the operation.--This will take roughly a month from the time the store opens.--Each week you will work with the staff, management and ownership to be sure they are running the store properly and giving advice along the way.--You will share your advice in person and in writing after each day you are there.------------6.--You will attend weekly staff meetings.--In the meetings you will present what you are working on, review your store visits and offer your input on the various topics being discussed.--Priority operational items will be discussed and assigned in staff meeting as well.----7. You will need to be an effective communicator through in person meetings and email.----8.--You will need to assist stores that need extra guidance.--This will include multiple visits during a range of shifts, written evaluations of the operation and in person meetings with ownership.----9.--You will attend quarterly meetings.--The meetings will showcase new menu items, new marketing initiatives and ways to improve the operations of the stores.------10.--You will work closely with the corporate chef.--You will assist in the creation of training materials for new menu items, and help film training videos for new menu items.--You will also work closely with the corporate chef on store visits to get their input on BOH issues you find.------11.--Review comment cards and Yelp on a weekly basis to look for ways to improve guest service and online ratings.--Share comment cards and online reviews with each store in an effort to help them improve their customer service.
