Description:Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, experienced, energetic and knowledgeable Surgery Scheduler / Surgery Coordinator (Lead) to join our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice.Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical, and plastic surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice offering competitive compensation and benefits.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Obtains prior authorization on surgical procedures and clinic procedures as required
• Communicates the financial aspects of the patient's surgical and medical care with the patient. This includes a written explanation of fee schedules provided prior to surgery and documented in the chart
• Work supportively & professionally with Tayani Institute surgeons and staff, as well as with primary care physician for surgical clearance
• Works with the doctors in clinic providing in-person patient consultation to schedule surgeries and provide patients with written/verbal explanation of surgery process and requirements
• Creates and completes surgery charts and provides them to the surgery center within the required time frame
• Travels between offices
• Communicates effectively with patients & physicians Requirements:
• Experience coordinating surgeries at a high level
• Medical office insurance and obtaining authorizations; Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required
• Flexibility - Ability to travel between offices
• Effective communicator - to patients & physicians
• EHR experience - at least 1+ year - NextGen preferred
