specialty practice is looking for an experienced office manager.
Willing to Train! GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:Responsible for
managing, planning, organizing and coordinating the daily
operations to ensure quality patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Business Operations Services Main Activities: Supervision of the
Clinical, Front Office Operational supervision and guidance of
staff (in conjunction with department supervisors) to ensure
quality patient care and physician efficiency. Assume the full
responsibilities and duties as the acting Clinical Supervisor,
Front Office/Medical Records Supervisor in their absence. This is
in order to gain hands on experience in each department
periodically in order to improve each department. Assume
responsibility for the lab, including compliance and operations.
Involve consultant when needed to make sure that compliance is met.
Oversight and guidance of day-to-day operations, including
scheduling of physicians, staff and facilities related concerns.
Review, recommend, revise and implement operational policies and
procedures. Oversight of compliance with government, state and
county regulations that impact healthcare facilities. Management of
IT regarding software upgrades, hardware replacements and
electronic medical records, troubleshooting computer issues as
needed. Will be directed by one designated Owner/Partner in all
scope of Practice Management. 2. Human Resources/Benefits/Safety
Main Activities: Assistant for all Human Resources functions (with
direct guidance from the HR outsourcing company) such as:
Recruiting including writing job postings and advertising job
openings, in compliance with applicable laws. Management of
performance including employee relations matters and employee
evaluations. Providing guidance and support to direct report
supervisors regarding hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions
of employees. Providing guidance and support to direct report
supervisors regarding employee relations matters. Reviewing,
recommending, revising and implementing human resources policies
and procedures. Reviewing, analyzing, recommending and implementing
employee benefit plans. Reviewing, recommending, revising and
implementing policies and procedures that comply with Workers
Compensation, HIPAA, Cal-OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
Promoting a positive work environment that encourages long-term,
productive staffing relationships. Main Activities: Manage
outsourcing of: accounting needs; legal needs; realty needs;
physician hiring; future planning; productivity reporting;
websites/internet and any other corporate needs that are determined
to be outsourced in Corporate meetings. Review contracts with
insurance carriers to identify and comply with contractual
reimbursement obligations. Maintain physician credentialing files.
6.Other Duties as Assigned EDUCATION: High School diploma, some
college preferred. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years management
experience in a physicians office. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Knowledge of current medical assisting, practices and protocols.
Knowledge of office policies and procedures. Skills Must

maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain effective
working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, in
writing, or by phone. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Office
setting. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids,
toxic substances and other conditions common to nursing situations.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Varied activities including sitting,
walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping. Requires eye-hand
coordination, finger dexterity. Occasional lifting/carrying items
up to 50 pounds. Must be able to transfer patients. Occasional
stress from balancing management and patient care
responsibilities.
