The role focuses on supporting surgical procedures through comprehensive patient care and unit assistance, promoting high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Adhere strictly to healthcare practices, policies, and ethical standards relevant to operating room care. Maintain all regulatory requirements, including licensing, certifications, and mandatory training on schedule. Provide exceptional patient care by anticipating surgical team needs, assisting with dressings or cast applications post-procedure, and managing case selection according to surgeon preferences. Ensure accurate documentation and communication, including surgical counts with relief personnel, reporting discrepancies, and updating surgeon preference cards. Proactively address operational challenges by suggesting improvements, participating in departmental responsibilities beyond routine tasks, and contributing to educational activities. Flexibility to work additional or varied shifts as needed to meet department demands. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in operating room nursing (Nursing - ORT). Thorough knowledge of surgical instruments, procedural protocols, and infection control. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and ability to complete regulatory documentation punctually. Attention to detail with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently without needing constant supervision.
