Job Description:

Description: Performs housekeeping duties in the resident studio apartment and common areas
Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident studio apartments and common areas
Ensure that cleaning schedule is followed
Responsible for the daily laundry services
Collect soiled laundry (linens and clothing) from each assigned studio apartment
Sort unwashed articles by color and fabric and track all items collected
Load and unload automatic washing and drying machines; wash, fold, and delivers Clean floors and walls (sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning).
Clean work carts, equipment, supplies, etc.
Maintain accurate record of all in-coming and out-going clothing items
File laundry sheets and request records for future reference
Routinely handle chemicals commonly used in laundry and performs custodial duties in the laundry area
Attend and participate in facility mandatory in-service training programs, as scheduled
Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information, including protected health information
Disposes of trash, waste, and other materials in a safe manner
Informs supervisor that supplies are in need of being ordered
Perform all other duties, as assigned
Requirements:

Must be able to successfully complete Basic Life Support certification and bloodborne-pathogens training within 30 days of hire
Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English
Physical requirements include but are not limited to: able to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 30 lbs., frequent standing and walking required
Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Reliable transportation
Can work weekends and holidays
