The Advanced Products and Solutions Team of Raytheon is seeking a
highly motivated Principal Software Engineer with deep technical
knowledge and hands-on experience to support new product
development at Raytheon.

The ideal candidate's duties will include:
Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative
solutions.
Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development
lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar
mode independent functions and capabilities, using various
languages, tools, applications.
Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues
and develop solutions.
Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal
and external
Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision
making, problem resolution.
Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule,
quality.
Support of system and software requirements and architecture
generation and analysis as needed.
Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus
Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for
continuation of employment.
Basic Qualifications include:
A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in embedded software
development
Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related
languages/tools in radar-development software is required.
Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other
RTOS
Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team
environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software
into a large software baseline and large system
Clearance: Must have current active DoD Secret Clearance; US
Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security
clearances.
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant software
development experience
Advanced Preferred Skills:
Current Top Secret Clearance
Experience developing Radar Software applications
Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and
system operation performance issues.
Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through
advanced education combined with experience. May have practical

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience
and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree
in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited
by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The
salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of
all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending
an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and
associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience,
location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not

will apply.
