As an integral part of the Infusion Consumables commercial team, the Product Marketing Manager / Sr. Product Marketing Manager performs a key role in the success of ICU Medical's Infusion Consumables business by working collaboratively to develop marketing strategies, sales training programs, and marketing communications materials that promote the successful launch and ongoing sales efforts for our Infusion Consumables product line.

The Product Marketing Manager / Sr. Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for tracking market penetration and adoption through the product's life cycle and will work together with the global commercial teams to monitor market trends and recommend product improvements and roadmap enhancements that would speed category growth and accelerate product adoption. In addition, the successful candidate will work with internal marketing and communications teams to develop integrated, research-based on- and off-line educational and promotional campaigns while facilitating comprehensive training programs for sales and clinical support staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary product expert and function as a knowledge resource for customers, sales, R&D, product engineering, and service personnel. Requires the ability to understand, collaborate with and - influence key corporate stakeholders, including R&D, operations/production.
  • Support marketing, sales and clinical support teams through the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including sell sheets, product notes, user guides, FAQ's, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos.
  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses, feature sets, underlying technology, product workflow, usability, etc. to establish technical differentiation and feature/benefit statements.
  • Solicit customer, prospect and partner input (via customer calls, user groups, site visits, tradeshows, surveys, win/loss analyses, etc.) to understand market challenges and requirements.
  • Develop and nurture productive, on-going relationships with key clinical opinion leaders in the nephrology market space to provide publishable research to support the marketing effort, guidance and input on key marketing initiatives, and to serve as speakers for and advocates of ICU Medical products
  • Work closely with R&D and upstream marketing counterparts to coordinate product design, development and release process for products and support the product development road map, working under the direction of the Marketing Directors to assist in developing requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, collecting and analyzing market data, trends, customer attitudes and behaviors as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration and communication.
  • This position has global responsibility. Must work with global commercial and marketing teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • (PM) 4 years / (SMP) 7 years of product management experience, preferably in a related field, and a proven track record of developing and supporting clinical, patient-focused technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills required, with the ability to adapt and articulate ICU Medical value proposition to a wide variety of decision makers.
  • Highly collaborative, customer and team needs first, creative and analytical, action oriented, hands-on, strong communications skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business/clinical field required. MBA preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 20%
  • International travel may be required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • This is largely a sedentary role.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
