Job Description:
A company is looking for an Abstractor to work under general
supervision in the Department of Revenue Cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Abstract patient data from charts to determine billable charges
based on treatment and diagnosis
Perform daily census reports and track Pediatric ICU admissions
Maintain a production standard of forty notes and a quality
standard of 95%
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of physician or hospital billing or collections
experience
Extensive knowledge in at least one medical specialty
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification may substitute for
experience
Licenses such as ASSOC RECORDS ADMIN, REGISTERED RECORDS ADMIN, or
CERT PROFESSIONAL CODER are preferred upon hire
