Job Description:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and
skilled Part-time Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. This
role involves providing end-of-life care and euthanasia services
for pets in their home environments across our service area. The
ideal candidate will share our commitment to delivering the most
compassionate service to pets and their families during their final
days together. You'll work closely with pet owners to ensure a
dignified and peaceful farewell, managing symptom control and
comfort care. Provide in-home end-of-life care including pain
management, euthanasia, and other hospice services. Consult with
pet owners, providing emotional support and guidance throughout the
caregiving process. Maintain accurate records of patient care and
medication management. Collaborate with a team of veterinary
professionals to ensure a unified approach to palliative care.
Educate families on end-of-life options and support decision-making
processes. Strong expertise in veterinary medicine and animal
behavior Ability to provide empathetic communication and support to
pet owners Skills in managing pain and symptoms in end-of-life care
Proficiency in medical technology used in home care settings

401k License to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant state
Certification in Euthanasia by the American Veterinary Medical
Association is preferred Optional additional qualifications in
palliative and hospice care for animals
